Recorder Class

Perfect for Home School Students !

Most public schools offer a music class that teaches young children how to play the Baroque Recorder. I'd hate to see Home School students miss out on this experience, so I'm offering an 8-week Recorder Class for them, or anyone else that would like to perfect their recorder playing skills.

Recorder is the perfect instrument for teaching music literacy, sight-reading, and improvisation skills. While developing these skills, students discover the joy of performing on a real woodwind instrument. In addition to all of the benefits of learning to play recorder, students also develop habits of accountability and self-motivation through individual home practice. Students work to master the instrument over the eight week session, which could lead to interest in learning another instrument. Recorder is an instrument that everyone can afford, simple to take care of, and fun to learn!

I've set up the following sessions for group lessons. Prices are for the entire session per student for a minimum group class of 3 students for eight (8) 40 minute lessons at my studio. Recorder and book are additional; you will be invoiced for the entire session when you begin. Weekly class days and times will be scheduled to be as convenient as possible for the participants. Depending upon the demand, I may schedule more than one class time during each session. Final details will be announced as classes develop. If you are not already a piano student, you will also be able to play at the Summer Recital.

I am using the Yamaha Soprano Baroque Recorder, pictured here, which includes the instruction book and carrying case for $7.50. If you already have a recorder, I can just order the book; please indicate this on your Registration Form.  This will be added to the cost of your class.

By submitting, you are pre-registering for a Recorder Class.  Your Registration will be confirmed by Email, and you will be invoiced for the tuition.  When you have paid the invoice, your Registration will be complete.
